Dragon Afoot
Jesus was asked to carry his own crucifix, which was a cross of wood that the Roman Empire in Palestine required him to take to the hill of Calvary outside Jerusalem, where he was nailed upon it as a Jewish `dissident` and left there until he died. In Eden the serpent gave Eve the `fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil`, that is, death, saying to her and the first man, Adam, `You shall be as gods.` (Gen: 3. 5) Telling Adam he must labor, and Eve would experience labor pain before Redemption, God expelled the pair from Eden. Jesus` birth was identified in Christianity as Mary`s `foot` which would crush the head of Satan, who was the angel that rejected God`s plan for the human host to be greater than the angelic, so God transformed Satan into the serpent of Eden, where Satan worked against `woman`s seed`:
`And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.` (Rev: 12. 17)
God told Eve her `seed` would have `enmity` with the serpent`s `seed`; as the dragon grown to full size would seek the extinction of the human race.
