Masked Men In Japanese Noh Theatre And William Shakespeare`s Men Dressed As Women
Japanese Noh theatre is a traditional 13th century form of drama featuring music and dance, which takes an entire day to perform and is divided into five parts. Just as the day for Moslems in the religious observances of Islam, begins with Fajr, at dawn (5. 00 a.m.), before the second prayer, Dhuhr (12. 00 a.m.), at lunchtime. In Japanese Noh theatre masks are worn to conceal the identity of the actors, because the men perform the female roles also.
